It does not escape Divine Providence that you have come across this page and are reading these very words. God’s plans are splendidly beautiful, yet simultaneously mysterious. As He says through the prophet Isaiah, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways...For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, my thoughts higher than your thoughts." (55:8-9) Indeed, His plans we cannot fathom; but we can take a step forward in confidence for "we know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

 Perhaps it is a certain restlessness that has led you to seek these pages; a restlessness that has left you in want of a greater sense of fulfillment, happiness...authentic love. I believe it is Love Himself who has beckoned you and awakened this yearning within your heart to seek Him. For our hearts are restless until it rests in Him (St. Augustine). As you first hear this bidding, it is normal to feel confused and scared. Being called to embark on a journey into the unexpected and the unknown is daunting; and at times, even frightening! This is why we pray that Jesus' timeless message will resound in your mind and calm the waves of your heart: Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid (Matthew 14:27). Allow us to assure you of His unfailing, abiding presence; a surefire presence of unconditional love. Infinite love Himself awaits to fill up the infinite longing in your heart.

 If you are experiencing this tug on your heart and are wondering where to go from here, know that I am here to journey with you as you discern your vocation, particularly to the charisms of the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province. The simple fact that you are reading these words may well be God's subtle nudging for you to embark on this adventure to discover God's Holy Will for you. As you encounter God and self on this quest, I pray that the disarrayed puzzle pieces of your life will gradually fall into place and the masterpiece of your life will radiate God's unsurpassable splendor. God is relentlessly pursuing you. Will you allow yourself to be found?
